The black walnut grain on each spoon is slightly different, which makes them feel less like a matching set and more like something someone actually carved. Been using the big one for stews and it hasn't stained or gone rough after a few washes.
The black walnut finish is darker and richer than the photos showed, and it warms up my plain white bowls nicely. They're light enough to eat soup with without my hand getting tired.
Used these for a week of soups and stews and the finish has held up well with just hand washing. They're a touch lighter in the hand than I expected, but the shape scoops cleanly and looks nice on the table.
