The heft of this iron plate is exactly what my flaky dough needed—it holds heat so evenly that every slice comes out with a crisp, sturdy base. I've used it three times already, and the seasoning just keeps getting better.
The bottom crust comes out golden and crisp every time, no more soggy mess. I love that it's handmade in the UK, feels like a proper baking heirloom that'll last decades.
The crust came out perfectly crisp edge to edge, and the iron's heat retention kept the filling bubbling hot at the table. It's heavier than my old glass dish, but you can feel the quality in the forged metal.
