The star anise and clove hit first, then that bittersweet cascarilla bark lingers in the best way. I've had it burning on my kitchen counter all week and it genuinely smells like golden hour, not the fake citrus stuff I'm used to.

I was worried the mint would make this smell like toothpaste, but it's more of a crushed fresh leaf thing that keeps the anise from getting too sweet. Lit it while cooking and the whole kitchen smelled like golden hour.

I bought this mostly for the cascarilla bark note and it's such a strange, warm smell once it's lit — like clove and star anise with something almost smoky underneath. Burns clean and even, no tunneling so far.
