The whole pods smell so strong I could catch it before I even cut the tape on the box. I cracked one open for my chai and the green, almost citrusy aroma filled the kitchen in seconds.

I've been cooking with pre-ground cardamom for years and this is a completely different experience. The pods are big and green, and when I crack one open the black seeds inside are so fragrant that a single pod flavors a whole pot of rice. Worth every penny.

The scent hit me before I even opened the box, which says a lot for a spice. The pods are plump and green, and just two cracked into rice perfume the whole pot.
