I denna rökelse från Golda är Hiba-trä ett av de mest aktade träden i Japan. Det tar upp till 300 år att växa och ger ett hållbart, rötbeständigt trä. Studier har visat att Hinokitiol, som endast finns i Aomori-odlade Hiba-träd (inte att förväxla med Hinoki), har potenta antimikrobiella, bakteriedödande, insektsavvisande och luktborttagande egenskaper.

Hiba eterisk olja utvinns från träavfall från mogna träd genom ångdestillation. Träden skadas inte på något sätt.
