Like a daydream for the coffee table.
Made for us in collaboration with DOT, a glass art studio in sunny Florida. These coasters are handmade using glass fusion, a process of cutting, shaping and layering pieces of raw glass and fusing them together in a kiln at an extremely high temperature.
The color swirls shift depending on the light hitting the table, and each coaster feels like its own tiny piece of art. Handmade glass fusion really shows in the subtle uneven edges—they're sturdy enough for a sweaty iced coffee, which is exactly what I needed.
The layering in the fused glass gives each coaster a soft, cloudy depth that shifts as you move your drink around. They’ve held up through a week of sweaty iced tea glasses with no staining, and the handmade edges feel polished.
The hand-fused glass has this beautiful depth that catches the light whenever the sun hits the table, and they've held up perfectly through a month of hot mugs. Even the edges are smooth and perfectly finished.
