Category: The Spring Collection

A bowl named for how (almost comically) often you'll use it.

It's the if-you-had-just-one-bowl-it'd-be-this-one bowl. Our co-founder Connie Matisse swears that when she sends her kids off to college, in their dorm rooms will be one Everyday Bowl and one Mug. That's it. Bases covered, from cereal to Top Ramen.

Why we love it:

  • The wide, shallow shape invites a little creativity to plating your everyday meals.
  • The form we see tagged the most—folks really do reach for it every day.
  • Dishwasher and microwave safe

Details:

  • Dimensions: 8" x 2.25"
  • Weight: 1.3 lb
  • Holds: 3.5 cups or 28 oz
  • Material: 100% Lead Free Stoneware
  • Our pottery is made by humans and reduction-fired in Asheville, North Carolina. Any differences in glaze applications and surfaces are there to embrace.

Care:

  • Dishwasher and microwave safe
  • Avoid open flames or preheated ovens. Our pots are oven safe up to 350° but must start in a cool oven and be brought up to heat gradually (think crème brûlée).
  • Over time, your pots might accumulate mild cutlery marks. These can be buffed off with warm water and scouring powder such as Bar Keeper's Friend.

My kids are grown now, but honestly, this bowl is the one I reach for every single morning for cereal and again at dinner. It's sturdy enough that I'm not scared to toss it in the dishwasher, and the size is just perfect for a hearty portion without being a giant mixing bowl.

I’m honestly shocked something so simple has become the only bowl in my cabinet. It’s exactly the right size for cereal, salads, and even leftover pasta, so I’ve basically stopped reaching for anything else. The name is spot-on—this is the bowl you’d take to college.

I use this bowl for every single meal now—it's the perfect size for a hearty lunch salad or a generous bowl of pasta, and it still feels solid after a month of near-daily dishwasher runs. Honestly, if I could only keep one piece of cookware, this would be it.
