I've been using this mitt for a few weeks now, and the way it complements my dinnerware makes me actually want to keep it out on the counter. The fabric has a nice weight to it that feels more substantial than my old mitt, and it grips hot pans securely without slipping.
The textured fabric actually gives me a much better grip on heavy stoneware baking dishes than my old silicone mitts ever did. It slides on easily and feels sturdy without being too bulky, which makes pulling hot pans from the oven feel safer.
The trellis pattern actually provides a good grip on hot pans, not just looks. It handles moderate heat fine, though I do wish the insulation was a bit thicker for heavy roasting tasks.
