I've been using these plates daily for a few weeks now, and the handmade ceramic has this subtle texture that feels great with a fork. They stack neatly in my cabinet and hold up fine in the dishwasher.
The coupe shape makes them way easier to stack than our old flat plates, and nothing slides off the low rim when I'm carrying a full plate to the table. Four felt like the right number, we use them daily and they've held up fine in the dishwasher.
These plates have completely replaced our old set. The coupe shape keeps sauces from running off the edge, which I didn't know I needed until now. Handmade and still sturdy enough for nightly use.
