These little suns actually catch the light when they're sitting on the coffee table, which makes them feel more like decor than just something to protect the wood. The solid brass heft is reassuring when I'm setting down a sweating glass, and they've held up fine for a few months now.
I was a little worried they'd slide around, but that solid brass weight keeps them perfectly in place under a sweaty glass. They look just as good on the nightstand as they do on the coffee table, honestly.
The weight on these is perfect—they don’t slide around at all when I set a cold glass down. I’ve got a pair on the coffee table and they’ve held up great through a few weeks of daily use.
