Opinel Batang Asah

I’ve had mine for a few weeks now and run it over my chef’s knife before every dinner prep—the edge just snaps back without any metal dust or mess. It’s light enough to handle one-handed and feels sturdy, not flimsy like other steels I’ve tried.

The handle sits perfectly in my hand, and a few passes on this steel brought back that clean, precise bite my chef’s knife lost after a month of heavy use. It's a simple tool, but it does exactly what it's supposed to do.

My knives feel noticeably sharper after just a few strokes, and I love that the rod realigns the edge instead of grinding metal away—my blades are lasting way longer. It's a simple, sturdy tool that's become part of my daily routine.
