The light it throws through the glass is warmer than my old metal holders, and it sits nicely on my dinner table without looking bulky. I've used it with a couple different candle sizes and it works fine with all of them.

The glass is thicker than I expected, so it feels sturdy without hiding the candlelight. I've been using mine on the dining table with a plain white pillar, and the light through the glass throws a soft glow across the whole tabletop.

The light catches the glass so beautifully on my shelf that I keep moving it around to find new angles. It feels sturdy enough to last for years, and it makes even a plain candle look like a centerpiece.
