Jarabe de Pera Borracha

Drizzled this over pancakes this morning and the pear flavor is genuinely bold without being cloying, and it pairs beautifully with the ceramic bowls I already own. It’s a small bottle, but a little goes a long way on a weekday breakfast.

I was skeptical about a pear syrup, but it’s surprisingly versatile—a drizzle over pancakes and even a splash in a whiskey cocktail brought out a mellow sweetness that felt quite artisanal. The bottle itself is sturdy and looks nice sitting on the counter next to our ceramic dinnerware.

The syrup pours just right—not too thick, not too runny—and that boozy pear kick is perfect over pancakes. It’s become a weekend staple in our kitchen already.
