Geschlitzter Holzlöffel

I've been reaching for this spoon every time I make stir-fry because the slots drain the sauce off the veggies so well. It's lighter in the hand than my old metal one and the walnut feels smooth, not splintery.

I wasn't expecting a spoon to feel this nice in the hand, but the black walnut has a warm, smooth finish that makes stirring soup weirdly enjoyable. The slots are cut cleanly too, so nothing catches when I'm scooping veggies out of the pot.

The slots drain pasta water way faster than my old spoon, and it's light enough that my wrist doesn't ache stirring risotto for twenty minutes. You can tell someone actually sanded the handle smooth instead of leaving it rough.
