I was skeptical about a resale pantry item, but the packaging was intact and the broth it makes is genuinely rich and savory. One small spoonful turned my plain noodle soup into something I actually craved the next day.

The instant depth it adds to a pot of soup or a quick noodle bowl is honestly hard to beat for the price. I’ve used it three times this week alone and it’s already earned permanent shelf space.

One ladle of this dashi and my miso soup tasted like it simmered for hours instead of minutes. The savory depth is exactly what my weeknight meals were missing.
